We’ve turned our attention to upcoming collections after our recent fashion-week buzz, which included new modern laces and sleek silks. We highlight six contemporary wedding dress trends we love, including detachable bridal trains and sexy collar lines.

Moonlight Bride has just released their newest collection. The freshness and romance of these gowns inspire us. Moonlight Collection and Moonlight Couture exemplify the feminine spirit with their charming laces. The groups are all couture-inspired, so you can choose from a formal affair to a casual afternoon party. These trends are perfect for brides who want to stand out in their wedding gowns.

Detachable Wedding Trains

The trend celebrates both looks: a formal gown for the ceremony with a train and a figure-flattering dress for the reception. You may be unable to decide whether you want a full-skirted gown or a figure-hugging silhouette. You can get two looks in one photo by choosing a dress with a removable train. This will allow you to keep the dress you like but still have two different eyes. You can remove the train after the ceremony to show off your shape and dance freely throughout the evening.

Romantic Sleeves

The ultimate romantic dream is to have sleeves that are embellished, be it with lace or beads. You can still have the fun of sleeves without the commitment. Off-the-shoulder dresses highlight your neckline and shoulders. A full-sleeve gown with lavish illusion mesh or lace looks whimsical and elegant without being too heavy.

Sexy Necklines

Imagine how a detailed neckline would frame and highlight a bride’s beauty. Deep plunging collars continue to be a hit on the runway and with real brides. Even a plunge embellished by cascading laces or this fun lace-up detail can add a unique feeling to a gown.

Applique Ballgowns

Ballgowns that feature applique appear lighter and more airy than traditional gowns. The organically designed applique makes showcasing beautiful laces and beading possible without overpowering a full skirt. Moonlight Bridal has unique sparkle and horsehair details, making it stand out amongst beautiful ballgowns. This trend is soft, effortless, and the perfect piece for a bride who wants to feel feminine.

Shoulder bows

Shoulder bows were one of our favorite details on the runways in 2018. We love the new look of bumps on the shoulders. Bubbles are usually reserved for the waistline, the back, and the train. This Aline gown has wispy, fluttering spots resembling little wings.

Halter Necklines

Meghan’s high-necked halter gown, worn for her reception, was a fashion winner at the royal wedding. It complemented her beautifully, thanks to the shoulders that were exposed. The modern collections offer an excellent way for brides to have a high neck without looking stuffy. This is done by exposing shoulders and having a low back. This stunning wedding dress does precisely that, with an illusion halter neckline hinting at the sexy V-neck. It even offers a detachable rail (uh oh, hello to three fabulous trends all in one!)

Laces and Tulles layered

This look is all in the details! This trend is perfect for a fitted or layered gown (like the figure-flattering mermaid dress ). It gives your dress incredible depth and detail. These collections feature laces with a romantic, timeless feel with layers upon layers of dreamy lace. What makes this trend so modern? We love the neutral-toned linings, which complement every skin tone.
