Morocco is magical. For years, I have been attracted to Moroccan weddings. It’s hard to beat a Moroccan wedding – ornate palaces with colorful decor, dramatic costume changes, and giant tiered cakes. The inspiration for today’s wedding celebrates the regal elements of Moroccan tradition adapted to modern couples.

Charlotte Ricard, La Fete, took advantage of her family’s vacation home to plan and design a Moroccan-style bridal shoot. The Palace was decorated with florals, textiles and treats, antique silver and gold tables, lanterns, and pottery. The cake’s six tiers seemed enough for such an event. The traditional cake in candy colors, gilded ornately and decorated with flowers, was a real show-stopper.

Enter our modern bride and groom. Two stunning Galia Lahav gowns by Bridals Do Good. (Read on to learn more about their fantastic cause!) Our bride is no less than a Moroccan Queen. Roberta Facchini’s photography captured a sexy, romantic lace gown and then one of the most beautiful sweetheart dresses we have ever seen.

This was a special photo shoot for me, as it took part at my family’s vacation home in Marrakech. I always thought that this place would be perfect for a wedding. Morocco has a raw and natural beauty that is captivating to many, including me. This shoot was to show how to combine the traditional and the modern in Morocco using beautiful natural light, colors, and scenery. Jewel tones, metallics, and bold conventional patterns inspired this shoot.

This shoot’s style vision was to represent a young couple getting married in Morocco. A land with solid traditions and a vibrant and colorful way of life. I wanted to create a Palace setting where every detail of the venue reflected my vision for the shoot. Elegance and class were the critical points while mixing in palm trees, Moroccan lampshades, and colorful dishes.

As a planner and stylist, I create a shoot’s concept, mood, and general feel. I then select the most talented suppliers, knowing that their style not only suits that of the node but enriches it and makes it even more unique.

With her experience as a destination photographer, her romantic styling, her fantastic use of lighting, and her natural talent, Roberta Facchini made her an obvious choice for photography. She captured the Palace vision with her natural talent and perfect light.

Alessandro Bordoni has captured weddings around the world in a magical way. I knew he was the perfect person to capture this modern, colorful luxury style with an Arabian twist!

I wanted a unique, colorful, fun cake for the shoot. My first and only option was to contact Elizabeth at Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium for a custom design.

She was inspired by the mood board, which included the bright and bold colors in souks. She created a six-tiered cake with an alternating deep pink and orange design and opulent baroque gold detailing. The cake was topped by a sphere that mimicked the dome shapes on local buildings. The cake was a focal piece and contrasted nicely with the neutral colors of the Palace.

Sinead, from Papergrace, created for the shoot a bespoke, colorful design inspired by the Arabian night and ideally suited the mood and feel of the shoot.

Eva Couturier is my first choice for hair and makeup. She did not disappoint me! I have admired her work for a long time and her unique makeup and up-dos. She made the model look beautiful and harmonious with the theme, thanks to her knowledge of oriental culture.

It was an honor to support Bridal Do Good, who generously provided the Galia Lahav jasmine gown for this photo shoot. Brides Do Good offers brides the chance to buy the most beautiful designer pre-owned and sample wedding gowns.

Harriet Wilde provided us with the most beautiful and ornate wedding shoes that fitted the briefs perfectly. London Victorian ring generously loaned me a stunning sparkling ring that I guarded my life while we were out there.

Christian Pierre Vanhoutte is the lead floral designer for all events in Morocco. He was the perfect choice to give this shoot a floral touch. His team provided the most beautiful and colorful flowers on the day.
